Funny, gia, but I've never "shedded" half the hair off my head before in 6 months time.

I also may be the first person in the history of the world who "sheds" her hair by it breaking in half.

Maybe Hairlocs would like to use my photos on their site to show "natural shedding"?

Please contact me and I'll give you permission to use my photos.

I am soooo sorry that had happened to you!!!! When I first started using hairLocs that happened to me! I was so upset!!!!!!! THe girl did the same thing to me. I found out that she was clamping them in to hard and was reckless with the tool!
I have been getting my hair done by Constance Walsh in Newport Beach. She has been doing them for 10 years and GUARENTEES HER WORK! She is very cool. If someone messes up using hairloc she gives a huge discount and fixes the hair. She re-did my hair correctly and deeply apologized for a mess that she did not even do. Call her she's cool. 949 646-9447

Wow, ladies. I think there's just so much lack of information on this site. I have many years experience with hair extensions, and as far as the shedding, you don't realize how much of your hair sheds because before you had extensions, it wasn't locked in with glue or hairlocs. The white bulbs really are shedding, and yes, many hairs of the tiny section may shed at once. With hairlocs, the strand slips when there aren't enough hairs to hold it. I also think there are many stylists who just aren't experienced enough. The pictures seem to me that they probably didn't take a big enough section of hair to install in the tube, and they clamped it too tight. I would also like to know why the coil is broken.

I think Kimarie has obviously burned too many people to be named so outright here, and well, that's her Karma to bear, but that does not make the system altogether bad.

Thanks, Visitor, but I think the lack of information is when a company/stylist charges thousands to apply a product and fails to tell the customer that it will destroy their hair or make it green. That's a lack of information. This site, on the other hand, is very informative.

I find it really insulting when stylists come on this site and claim that extensions damage isn't really damage all; it's just "natural shedding." Like I didn't know I had long hair to my bra strap when it was applied and then 75% of it was all gone in two months? That's our imagination. You've got to be kidding.

And let's face it, you're not "Just a Visitor"--you're just another hairlocs person trying to defend your product. The pictures don't lie, Visitor.

You know....that really burns my a$$..."lack of information on this site"? Excuse me but there is a vast amount of information on this site, many of us are NOT stylists here but have been doing extensions for years for ourselves and others and I think we have aquired a huge amount of information that we pass along to others. And I believe that we are alot more experienced and qualified in giving our findings and opinions on different methods or techniques than many so called qualified extension professionals who may go through a few hour training class and learn one technique and never learn any other methods so they have nothing to compare there experience to and then thy push that technique without telling the down sides of that technique... where us DIYers are always looking for a better way....so we SHARE the info. THE GOOD AND THE BAD.......

SORRRY.........I will quit ranting now.

I for one think this forum is great. I've learned alot just by reading the posts here. I think the people are helpful and full of knowledge. Sharing information is empowering!

I would trust a professional more if they were to tell me the ups and downs of a service rather than make it into something that will be the "cure-all" to our hair problems.

Honesty is always the best policy.

I think this site is awsome!! I have learned so much already! You guys are great. I love the honesty here!!!! People (hair extension professions) if your wrong admit it...if you screwed up someones hair...admit it and fix it for free!!!!!So simple yet you make it more difficult on yourselves by denying your mistakes.

Bye Bye
