Jenny thanks for keeping all that straight..I decided to go with micro rings because I already had them and cant afford to get shrinkies right now, and the experiment that I did with the heat shrink tubing (from my local electrical supply store) I didnt like it. Ive had micro rings in 3 times now and I like the convenience of them, clamp their in and clamp their out, and Ive never had any residue left to deal with. My scalp is very tender and having to deal with adhesive residue hurts my head so I think Ill stick with micro rings.

That sounds good. Are you using the Doc rings or the extendtubes from hairpiece.com? Do you ever have any slippage with them? (Sorry if you've already answered these questions.) :)

I used up the last of the rings I got from Doc's. Im hoping to order new hair and new rings by the end of this month. The rings Im going to get from hisandher.com, $17.99 for 300 seems a good deal I think. The hair, Im not sure where Im getting it yet Im still looking, there is so much out there its hard to decide. Tho Im pretty sure Im going to stick with the new fiber synth, Im really happy with how this has handled so far, and synth is so cheap you can experiment with different brands and textures without it costing bunches of money.

These Ive had in a week now and Ive only lost 3 so I dont think thats too bad. When I had used them with human hair I had way more come out when I brushed.

Interesting. I've heard from several people--and now Emma--that microrings are much more secure with synthetic hair.... :)

Way back when I first started messing with extensions I heard that human hair shrinks when it gets wet and thats why it will slip out of the micro ring.
