QuoteReplyTopic: How to get tousled, shiny hair? Posted: December 30 2005 at 9:00pm
Hi all,
Does anyone know how to acheive the tousled hair (soft waves without
frizz) look? Any good products you can recommend? I have really thick,
medium long wavy hair.
Has anyone tried the Kerastase Elasto Curl creme? Or any Kerastase products?
This is exactly what i need to know - although i do ahve some advice (it may work for you, but its what i've been trying, it works OK but with one problem - see my post)
I use spiral curling tongs to curl my hair, it doesn't come out very well for me, poofs out too much, but if you want looser curls, usually by the end of the day at school my hair has gone sort of loose and a lot shinier. Thats when i use hair spray aswell to keep the curls in place, so i'm thinking maybe if you do it without holding spray in a few hours the curls would have dropped out a bit, then you can spray it with holding spray and it should remain like that?
Hope i could help x

First after you get out of the shower, use an anti frizz serum. Then you can let it dry naturally, WITHOUT touching your hair and maybe use a curling iron to define the waves. Or you can throw in some gel and blow dry with a diffuser. Then you can finger comb or gently separate the curls with your fingers. You may also want to use a curling iron to define the curls/waves if you feel the ned so. Just remember, NEVER brush curly or wavy hair when it is wet. Use a wide tooth comb in the shower. And ALWAYS use a heat protectant spray when working with hot tools.
