I received a product called Velvasil for an upcoming Plastikhaar install and decided to give it a test on human hair even though it's advertised for synth. Yow! I've been using it for about a week. Just a light mist each day and it leaves hh super smooth, no wet look, no build-up, and a great fresh fragrance. It also completely cured that cold weather static problem.

Velvasil - is a silicone based, leave-in conditioner with sunscreen. It protects hair with a non-oily, velvety smooth coating which is alcohol free and helps retard color fading. Recommended for all types of synthetic hair, Velvasil is excellent for daily use. 8oz

it reminds me a lot of the product prostyles supply for their synthetic pro hair. any product thats silicone based is good on human hair as it is a lubricant ooh err!!!!

Hey AMM,

Is there any danger of buildup with long term use?  I have always found that is the biggest concern. 

That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)

Do you think it might work on the cheaper HH's? I just ordered some from Ebonyline. It's 22-24 inch HH on a weft for $50 so I know its not going to be great hair but if we could find a good product to use on cheaper HH that would be cool.

Hey Amm, do you have some cheapo HH laying around to experiment on?
