I live in Long Beach , California and I have three colors of the GSC Hair
#4,#8,#14 a beautiful combination but the hair is like His and Her is is really bad. I went to my salon and shampoo with Biolage products, blowdried and flat iron and it is still bad. Day by day I'm think about taking it down, know matter if it hurts some. The girl who braided my hair call today and wants me to take picture with it down. I told her it was not going to happen, I can only wear it in a bun.

I thought the GCS was dry also, but not THAT bad...I had it in for about 2 weeks (could have had it in longer, and can definitely use again...but I have a big thing this weekend, so I took out my install), and did a number of swims and washes, plus I dyed it with 10vol....it tangled more than my premium indian, and Amms elite remy, but wasnt "the worst"...plus is wasn't too expensive...I got 4oz. of #8 double-wefted for $48.50

Well tbctbc, you where lucky because I can only wear my gcs hair in a bun not even in a sexy ponytail, because again it looks like HAY. I have a reputation to uphold and my clients will wonder what the hell is wrong with my hair. I can't let them see me slip, so I will wear this in a cute bun then take it out and replace it with Giovanni hair, and they will never know. And yes the hair is cheap, but it ain't worth a dime.

The braids are so small I need them to grow out a little to take them down.

How did your braider braid your hair? Did she fold it? You can't fold hair that has the cuticles aligned because if you do it will turn into a big bushy mess. Even with Giovanni hair, it'll turn bushy and tangled if it's remi and folded. If your braider has to fold the hair make sure the overlap part is all braided up and not exposed. Boyhme, Adorable and Synthetic hair is good for braids because it's not remi hair and can be folded.

Fair enough, I have no reputation to uphold...its just me:)
I was able to wear it down most days, I just flat ironed and curled slightly...but its sticky humid hot right now, so buns are good too...

I have used Giovanni hair for over eight years and never have I had any problems and never have I had problems with EP hair. I truly do believe it is the hair. I even curl a put a rubber band around some of the hair I had left over and flat iron it, it is just not right. But thanks afro puff for the info.
