Are reddish tones inevitable for me?

Does coloring dark brown hair with permanent color ALWAYS result in bringing out the reddish undertones, simply because of the peroxide? It seems I can`t put even a basic brown color in my hair without it pulling in the red tones. My last hair coloring job, a medium warm brown with NO gold or red added, still seemed to pull in some red tones.

more then likely, yes. because oyur hair hasu nderlying red tones in it, the peroxide will bring those out. if you wish to be rid of them, pick a neutral or an ash color(s).
