I would go to the salon if I were you. Just tell them your situation and they`ll know how to deal with it. Plus, they`ll show you different shades before highlighting your hair or whatever they`re going to do so don`t worry about it and go to a professional!

My natural hair color is light/medium brown (I think) with lots of grey. Right now I have a dark brown permanent color on it. I am tired of roots and was thinking of highlighting at home, but the kit says not to use if hair is colored with permanent color. If I went to a professional I wouldn`t know what to ask for. I have a fair complexion and blue eyes. I was blonde as a child. I am open to letting the grey come out, but my new husband would cry if I cut my hair. Any suggestions? Thanks...
