ok, my best friend has shoulder length, puffy, frizzy hair and she needs help! we have a farewell dance coming up and she can`t go out to the salon to get it styled, so she has to think of something herself. her hair`s black, and kinda course textured and wavy. do u know a cheap way to straighten it or to keep it controlled? or do u know a style that can go with this kind of hair? i`d really like advice, cuz i promised her that i`d help. thanx!

you could put it all in a high ponytail and curl sections of hair (maybe 2 in.) around a curling iron and gently pull out to give her the look of ringlets....
