OK, so I got some of these things. The blue peel-back ones.

Now what?

Do I double them over, do I cut them lengthwise, do I sandwich them in? Orange remover takes them out, right?

I peeled back a small section and I about adhered myself to the strip for life. Hang it in a tree out front and I bet I would find humans stuck to it like flies.

I'm interested in info from anyone who's used these too. If they hold great (like LG) and come out with Amm's remover, I'll give em' a go.

Hey Amm, put some of that great hair that you have on a small section of those strips and then hang it from a tree, I bet people would be fighting each other just to get stuck!!

Blue?  Aren't the red or yellow ones the strongest?  I use my blue ones are for the lace fronts.

Yeah, the Orange stuff gets them out.

Gsmile that's flipping hilarious LOL

Amm kindly sent me these.  I was far to busy installing the Lush hair that came with them to look at them but last night I had a distraught client who had her extensions out and wanted them straight back in but couldn't afford them.  I'd filled my head up so much with Amm's Lush hair that I hadn't left any room but for a tiny strip to test these strips myself so being the kind sole and because I had some spare 613 & 10 machine weft bohyme I told this client she could indeed have her hair back in if she would be kind enough to trial these strips for me.

Anyway I got to grips with using them first.  You peel off the blue backing and you'll see the white backing is in two halfs so to speak, you then fix your weft to one half and then fold the other over so you have your weft and then white backing on one side of it and white back on the other side, then I parted the clients hair, peeled off one side of the white backing and stuck it to her parting, then I pressed really hard and worked the adhesive into her hair.

Then peel off the other white strip and then section down a tiny layer of hair from the top just like in Sherrie's sandwiche method and stick it down over the sticky bit with a metal tail comb.  I used three rows of hair in the back and two in the sides.  She's going to report to me how many times she washes her hair and how long these things last and if they really last between 3 and 6 weeks.  I've also popped a tiny 2inch section at the top of my head to see how that wears too, so I'll keep you guys posted on both.  No more tears from the client xx

between the tape? How do you reuse the hair? Seems interesting...

Those are tapes for hair pieces, and they are meant to attach to the polyurathane of the hairpiece and someone's bald head.  I wonder how they will stay attached to the thread like top on a weft?

Those pics are for lace fronts.  They are not as strong as the red or yellow.  Since they are sold in pre-cuts, rather than loooong tapes, they are meant for 'quick-fixes'.

But good luck, ad let us know the out come.

Are you on about a different red or yellow tape cyber????xx

Red Liner Collage thumb
Red Liner Tape

Used as a base liner for bonding or a higher tack for semi-extended wear. With slightly more tack than white, it's also ideal for daily wear but will stay secure for up to 3 consecutive days.
Clear Tape Collage Thumb
No Messy Residue Tape

Used for lace and extended wear, this tape boasts very good adhesion. It does not have quite as good of a bond as the Blue Lace Tape, but it requires less maintenance.
Cloth Tape Collage thumb
Cloth Tape

A double adhesive with cloth backing. This tape provides good adhesion, but not recommended for lighter densities, C-Thru bases, or Lace designs.
Blue Liner Collage Thumb
Blue Lace Tape

An extremely high tack adhesive, this tape is used for lace and extended wear. Body acids will eventually break it down and it is higher maintenance.
Proflex-TabsThumb
Pro Flex

Small tape tabs with ultra high tack levels. This is the stickiest tape you can get! Ideal for extended wear and getting that super strong bond when you need it.

Yes, the red liner!  I buy the 2 widths.  Thinner width stick on hair and weave some hair on top.  Wide width fold over on extension.  Press on parted hair.  DONE!

I use this for my seamless and my Mark Barrington seamless.  It stays!!!

Amanda, do you use the whole 1 1/2 inch width of tape or do you cut it?
Is that too wide as is?

Also, do you put the track right on the tape? Do you center the track on
the tape or put it at the top on the tape?

Finally (sorry for all the questions...) do you use a machine weft or hand
weft? Just wondering about how the size of the machine weft will work
with the tapes.

Thanks a million!

place the track closer to the top edge or bottom edge or about the
middle...does that make any sense?

Great movies Cyber, that helps give a visual. But what is the point of weaving some hair down on the tape before adding the weft with tape I wonder? That seems hard to imagine for me to DIY.

When you sandwich your natural hair between the 2 pieces of tape (and weft) it will give you a much strong, longer lasting hold.

I was going to ask, whats the difference in the 2 tapes they use? Why cant you just use 2 strips of the red tape?

I would love to try this method but I want to be sure I have all the necessary supplies. Will this work with any type of weft or does it have to be hand tied?

Hi there Koffee, they look nearly identical except the blue tape on the strips I've got has no holes in and the white side already sits in two half so you can press one side over the weft and press onto the hair and then peel off the other side.

That's brilliant Metal.  I'm sure these must be the same things.  My clients hair looked so good and so secure after three weeks, not bad going to say I just used a regular machine weft too and not the seamless x

YES!  I just bought the proflex tape too.  I asked the guy who sold it to me which is stronger and he said the proflex b/c it has more glue.  So far this red liner is strong.  I still have mine on and let me tell you if I didn't have that solvent, it's a pain in the a** to remove.

I'm all staring at these things for weeks thinking, "won't this blue backing show up when it's in my hair?"

And then I peeled the backing and saw that cool looking clear strip underneath. Duh.

That tape, or any tape is only meant to work with the seamless wefts.  I don't see how it could work with a machine weft, since it needs a flat, smooth surface in which to adhere to.

So Lisa, what is the back of the seamless made of. Could I put a layer of say epocky or silicone or what ever you think the back is made of and turn a thin weft in to a seemless. Dose semless start out as a weft? Do you have a photo you could show me, Please. I just need one track for my friend so I don't want to buy the whole set. Thank's for your help.

I'm with ya chica! I would love to try this! Maybe once everyone gets their supplies we could all agree on weft colors on split the 5 from Lush...*hint hint*

I have a client that's 11 washes and three and a half weeks living proof that the proflex tape works with regular machine weft x

Amanda,  YAY! u have been my motivation to try this with wefts. I already have euroflex tape which holds lacefront for 3 wks (and I was told is same as proflex). I ordered some red liner last week and when i get that, I will try it with redliner as base and euroflex on weft (as in tress allure video).
Amanda, if i remember correctly, u said u did your test client w/ just the proflex tape right, NO redliner.. So I'm guessing combined w/ red liner it should really hold great! Can't wait to see.

I just overlapped the tape over the top of the weft and then used sherrie's sandwich method x

Wow, I'm impressed that you are getting machine wefts to hold only with Pro Flex!  You may be on to something....

Marie, the seamless wefts have hair injected into very flat polyurathane.  The ole epoxy trick just may work, it's worth a try!

is it possible for some one to make a few pics showing how to do these, and also tell me, how does the client wash the hair? how long does it stay in and how do u get the tape off without plling off their hair.

i tried to watch the movie from tresalure and it wont play for me

thanks so much

Tangles - Amm has done this on the other thread.  You wash your hair as normal but don't condition around the tapes.  My client has had hers in 4 weeks now and 11 washes.  You use oil or leave in conditioner to get them out.xxx

Hmm, out of curiosity, does anyone know if these pro-flex II rolls are the same strength of tape as the pro-flex strips Amm and Amanda have used for weft installs? -

Not yet Kirsty, I don't know if the rolls are the same thing so I'll probably end up getting some of the strips from ebay.  Wish they weren't so expensive :/

Emily - I'm not sure if they have the same hold as the Pro-Flex. The tape has been shipped to me but I haven't gotten it yet. I won't even know how good it really is until I actually wear it.

This Pro-Flex is rockin tho. It's still holding very well at 3 weeks. I bet this can easily go 5 weeks.

My supplier is sending me Lush on a seamless weft to try. If it holds as good as Pro-Flex, I'm going to pee myself.

I just ordered a set from Cybermane for $175.00, I'll let you know what I think as soon as they get here.  I still have about 100 locs in and will install as soon as I am over the pain from removing the junkie locs (DR LOCS).

They make it stick better. I have a spoon for my 2 year old that has holes
it in and the food sticks better. Same idea. Something about the
way the air moves...
