Well, I started growing my hair out since december, I finally got it to
a good length where I could achieve this look (the guy on the left): It finally finally got past that actually. So I went to get my hair cut like his and brought the picture to show my regular amazing hair stylist. My grandmother took me, she goty me a gift certificate to the salon I usually go to. He was done cutting my hair and it already looked amazing, he just needed to flat iron/style it. My grandmother comes over and she didn't like it, I think partially she was just upset because her ex husband died the previous day, but she stil;l wanted to take me, and so she told him to cut my bangs and the back. He tried to keep it like a miniature version of it, and keep it so it would grow out in the way of the picture, but it just looks really bad on me, and I feel really uncomfortable with short hair =/ This is what I looked like before I got it cut:  Now here is what I look like now:  I guess what I am trying to get at is, I really cannot stand it, I don't like my hair this short I just feel naked. How long will it take to grow back?? Is there anything I can do in the meantime?? I'm really stressing out about it =/ What do you all think? Hair grows about a half inch a month, so you can calculate how long
that will be. It sounds to me like your grandmother getting you a
gift certificate to a salon and telling them how to cut your hair is
her telling you she didn't like it in your eyes. To avoid this in
the future, you may have to give her an excuse that will let you go
alone next time (something that won't hurt her feelings, since she did
get you the gift cert), or it may just happen again. I'm glad
your hairdresser tried to give you what you want, that's half the

Hey Chris, I think your new cut looks okay, and it is not that much shorter than before. It will grow back quickly - just try not to focus too much on it. I like that style on that guy in your photo and it will look good on you! Just don't start smoking!  -------------

| I agree that's it's really not too bad, but, of course, what I say does you no good if YOU don't like it. I think it takes a week or two to get over a bad cut. You're probably over it now. Anyway, I just wanted to say SHAME ON GRANDMA! You need to have your hair the way YOU like it, not her! Shame, shame, shame! Yeah, don't take her along next time! |
