This was my very first install of hair extensions.
I used Bohyme 613 and 613/27 silky straight 18" purchased from Sherries store. I installed with Protac for the very first time and it was a breeze. Total prep and install took about 2 hours.
I have 4 double wefted rows in the back and one double wefted row on each side of my part about 2" down. I used a total of 4 ounces of hair.
I do have a slight problem with color blending. I bleach my hair and leave a little bit of the underside of my hair my natural color. I thought the extensions would cover it since my WAWA clip in's do, but the brown shows through a bit. I think I might take out the bottom row, dye them to match and reinstall.
These pictures are without cutting or blending. I go to my stylist tomorrow for a cut and some blending.
Please excuse the messy curls. I hurried so I could go out to eat breakfast!
Here they are...
and the before...

Oh, and don't cut the brown out... either dye the ends of your natural hair lighter or try putting one row of a darker color across the top of your head. I would suggest a 18/22 by the looks of your pictures.

Don't worry Kristen...I would never cut my natural hair out! I was getting the extension hair cut yesterday for blending!
I have decided to put a double wefted row of brown at the very bottom to help with color blending! I'll post pictures when I'm done!

Hey Malibu...I am getting used to having it in. The first couple of nights it was hard to sleep because my ponytail felt so heavy!
I did not realize how much longer it would take me to get ready in the morning. I was late for work on Monday because it took me 1/2 and hour just to blowdry it! Then I straightened it!!!
I had to seal a few of the ends with LG because they were lifting slightly and I am paranoid.
I went more than 48 hours without washing it when I first installed it, and believe me girl, I would have never gone that long without washing my "regular" hair EVER! This is just a whole new me, and I'm loving it!!!

So what do you think of using protac so far??? I usually use liquid gold, but I'm thinking about doing protac, does it hold up well?

Hi Barbiegirl...I love your avatar. I am obsessed with Marilyn Monroe!
To answer your question, I love using protac so far. I am a really anal person, so I have sealed all my ends with LG and they are holding like cement! The protac was so easy to use. This method works great for me.

ohh that is good to hear! do you mean by sealing the ends, the part where the tape and the weft meet or where the tape touches your scalp?
Thanks for you help! :) I love Marilyn too! She is my fav!

I put a dab of LG on the ends of the protac strip and press it down on my hair so the ends will not lift up. So far it has worked pretty darn good!

I love the hair and the blending also. I wanted that look of blonde and darker colors for my hair also. I don't want to bleach my own hair so I agree I think the the dark bits are great!
Could I use one of your pics to show sherrie as an example? . I am thinking about ordering from her but I don't know how the sliky straight would blend with my coarse afro hair, I am sure once I perm my own hair it would blend but I want to be sure I don't have to perm every time some new growth comes through or better not at all, just use a flat iron.
Thanks in advance.
------------- Hugs and Kisses!

Animelover, if you are looking at Bohyme, you might look at some of their other textures. The silky straight is very silky. If you have AA hair, there are several textures that may be better suited to your hair texture. Bohymes Platinum line might be perfect and in the gold line they have 'velvet luster' that might also be a good texture option.

| Bohyme carries other textures that are a better match for afro textured hair. You should go to Bohyme's site and check out the Platinum line. This is the line of hair that is meant to match Afro textures specifically. From the Gold line, the Velvet luster hair is also meant to match Afro textures..
I know Sherrie intends to add all of Bohyme's textures to her store very soon, but in the mean time you can order other Bohyme textures now if you contact her.
ETA: Spoke too soon.. Looks like she has all the Platinum line textures up now..

Thank you both, Sherrie and DivaVocals. You girls are making me smile with your advice and help. (Didn't think I get a respone so fast.)
But, yes, I will check out the site. I do have AA hair but its not overly curly coarse, but I will check out the line just the same. I have some other questions if you may answer, does the blonde or platium hair tend to tangle more or less with Bohyme, because on BHM most blonde hair talked about is ruled out (from what I read lately). Also how should I blend the black with the blonde or would a stylist be more helpful?
I wish I could go crazy and lighten my hair one day or just braid all my hair in just to leave a little of my own black hair on top so it seems like those girls that need thier roots dye on top. I like that look as well. I wish I could get my whole hair a perfect strawberry blonde/platium blonde look like my wig. Just being wishful though, because I am tired of wigs and my hair needs to grow again with the sew-ins. Would you both look to see a pic of my hair in the blonde wig?!! lol. Just to get an idea of what I looked like. Anyways, sorry this thread long. Just wanted to share and ask. Hope everyone is well today.

Anime lover check out my pics.. I love highlights, but my relaxed hair doesn't like the stress of lightening it. So for my last two installs I had my stylist do some highlight magic with my hair. I used a combination of several colors to get the look of highlights without coloring my natural 1b hair. I am using a combo of 1b, 2-6-7, and 6-7-13 hairs. The ONLY color applied to my natural hair was a 1b semi perm rinse to cover my grey hairs..
ETA: You should start another thread and share your pics of your wig if you want suggestions on what hair to get.. However if you have dark hair and want to go completely blonde, you are gonna probably need a closure piece dyed blonde to avoid any color blending issues..

Ok, maybe I would start a thread.
As for now I am going to have a black and blonde mix. I just recently look at Bohyme.com and I couldn't bring up anything on thier products page. Then I looked on outlethair.com and they have some mixes, then I caught your "ETA" to look on Sherrie's page. I am feeling that Sahalian hair and the Textured hair. Between those two choices the Sahalian has a little body wave to it which I also desire. But I am thinking would that textured hair blend better when my hair starts acting up. Also would I have to have a good flat iron to straighten that textured hair everyday? I am thinking I could swing with either one.
Now would I have to order 4ozs of Black/1B and 4oz of the blonde or can I mixed and match the 4ozs on your page Sherrie?
Where would I find a closure piece and how would you apply that?
Thanks again ladies. I am getting excited trying the Bohyme, I always saw the hair in the BSS store and never thought it could be a good quality of hair cause its in the BSS. I am hoping someday to save up when I go to California when I visit my brother to go get some EP hair but that would next year. Anyways, I hope the Bohyme works well for me. Especially the Blonde hair. Anything else you like to share, please do.
------------- Hugs and Kisses!
