pixie to bob...advice?

i had the CUTEST pixie-esque cut for quite some time. I messed with it and made it my own<3 [observe]  I've recently gotten bored and decided i want to grow it out to maybe about a bob length so i can get kind of a shaggy bedhead styles -- much less time involved in styling. my problem? I can't find anything to do with it while it's growing out to that length to make it look good. The back's getting a bit unmanageable and long. it's been in a polka-dot head wrap for about a week straight and that's getting lame... so any advice?  <3<3 |

I'm doing the same thing - growing my hair out from a pixie to a bob. It's hard to get through those awkward stages. I'm assuming it's the neck area that's bothering you the most? Try having that trimmed just a tiny bit so it's more blunt. You're going to have to let your layers catch up, anyway. I use a volumizer and blow my hair out full and smooth on top, then tuck the sides behind my ears and try not to look at the back too much. ;-)
I'm not really a hair accessory person, but if you are, you might want to try a thin headband or some barettes, too. Are you also growing your bangs out?

yeah i'm trying to grow them out as well. luckily after i trim my hair it grows super fast =) it's definetly the back that' annoying me. i dunno it's quite awkward looking if i don't mess with it, it's reallllllly long compared to everything else. but it's like i can't do anythign with it. it's just kind of there. i can at least shag up the front and sides. the back is just like. "BLAH I'M HERE TO RUIN YOUR DECENT HAIR DAY OF AWKWARD GROWING-OUT-NESS!" sorry. long night at work. keke. =) |
