Maybe I'm off base, but I've always associated the name Sophie Marceau with such words as "young, beautiful, French and actress" -- and always thought of someone with long hair. In fact, here are some of the photos of Sophie on a Facebook page:

| According to GettyImages, she hasn't really had her trademark hair since, what appears to be, 2004. It's generally been shorter (than the facebook pictures and the bond movie). But this is the shortest she's been so far. |

Most women tend to mix things around a bit as they get older: change the color, length, or something. For me it's a downgrade, but I guess she's in that "mixing things up" mode.
